Horse Communicators

Hi has anyone used an animal communicator to talk to their horse and find out what is wrong with them ? . Have a horse with an undiagnosable lameness and would be interested to hear peoples views , good or bad , am desperate to sort out my little man Thanks
 
I had one done by Lesley Anderson, i am a complete cynic but i will admit she had our boy down to a T personality wise and his relationship with my daughter, it was actually quite spooky. Some of it, about 10% was wrong but it wasn't bad from a photo, I also gave her no information apart from first name of my daughter and our boys stable name.
 
I'm extremely sceptical & believe they prey on desperate people who have tried everything else to find out what's wrong with their horse. I liken them to palm readers, crystal balls lookers, tarot readings etc etc. But the worst ones above all the one's that are too lazy to be bothered to go & see you or your horse & just want a photo sent to them............I wouldn't waste my money on any of them....sorry :(
 
I had one. Won't mention the name of the person who did it but she's one of the frequently mentioned ones on here.

It was incredibly general and TBH I thought it was a load of tosh.

I think these people are very good at reading what you say and telling it back to you with the spin they think you want to hear.

I was bored when I sent the photo and as i've said before I am a complete cynic and would definately not be classed as desperate and actually had no major issues about our boy. I sent 2 very ordinary pics of him and my daughter side on, one in the school and one of them in xc colours. I gave daughters first name and his stable name (he competes under another) and asked what he liked and disliked and what he thought of their partnership. My elder daughter and husband thought i was mental!!
His personality was summed up to a tee, which was weird because anyone who knows him will know how correct it was, it certainly wasn't generalising. The xc pic did throw things abit though as she did say he loved xc and going fast which was wrong.
I wouldn't shoot anyone down for giving it a go but i wouldn't use it as a 'cure all' as you have to maintain an element of cynicism and I certainly won;t be having my palm read (I'll just go off and shuffle my tarot cards)
 
I sent pictures of 4 different horses/ponies to someone on another forum who does readings. I never paid a penny and can honestly say I was amazed with the information I recieved. Each reading was very different and summed each animal brilliantly. The communicator picked up that my 11 year old mare used to have a splint when she was 4. It is completely invisible now and my daughter didn'teven know she had one in the past.
I know the communication threads on here get lots of input (good and bad) but my experience helped to get to the route of an issue which one of the horses was getting veterinary intervention for. If you have an open mind what have you got to lose?
 
I agree that it is all a con. I think the info they give it so general it could be any horse so a lot of it is wrong but people are desperate to believe it do they ignore it and only remember the bits that where vaguely right. That said i am happy to be proved wrong but i am not forking out the money with out an agreement that I will get a refund if it is all rubbish

Thanks for reply , i dont suppose you still have contact details for the person do you ? . ALSO THANK YOU to everyone else who took the time to reply , this is the first time i have used the forum ,+ i will let u all know what happens if i do go down this route!!
 
My neighbours have had Isobel Hogton out to their horses, as has another horse owner in our area, both of them very sceptical farmers, and they were very impressed with the level of detail Isobel gave. She's been back twice since and the improvement in their very twitchy ex-showjumping mare is unbelieveable.
 
I was complete cynic and wouldn't believe any of this sort of thing but then we were having MAJOR problems with D.

A friend recommended Cooper Wilson. All he requested was the name of the horse and a photo of them untacked and relaxed.

He was AMAZING. He started saying things about D at home just so we knew we weren't being had on. He mentioned things about D that you could only have known if you were around him every single day. He helped us so so much :) He spent over an hour on the phone to my mum and I and refused to accept any money but mum sent him some anyway
 
Ive done communications for several people on this forum (and have one outstanding to do, havent forgotten you!). I and several others find it easier to work from a photo and to know as little as possible about the animal. I find its catch 22 for clients as they are sometimes too ready to believe it all, or too cynical and determined that ive found the information from elsewhere. Add to that being only human and it not being an exact science and we have an interesting conumdrum. Science is slowly catching up and rupert sheldrake amongst others have produced valid studies on the subject.

By all means consult a communicator as part of your support team but it should be used with caution, and I hate being asked to help diagnose. Partly because its such a responsibility and you dont want to waste owners time and money if you interpret info wrongly, partly because often the horse cant tell you the source of the problem himself, and an animal in pain is less able to communicate clearly in my experience. Oh, and they sometimes deliberately mislead you (dont they, Yorksg if you are reading!), oh and the minir matter that legally nobody except a qualified registered vet can diagnose.

Im not saying dont, but do proceed with a sensible head on and be aware of the above.
