Recently brought a 14.2 TB X he's not that skinny just been out of work and has lost a lot of muscle especially on his backend, he's doing regular work now to build up muscle and in a field with lots of grass and a small hard feed with chaff, conditioning mix, dried grass and a few supplements. Is there anything people can recommend (feed or exercise) that will help build him up? He's already out on a fair bit after 3weeks of having him

Think it was Wagtail on here who reccomended Pure Feeds for my older mare who needs to put on condition. It's only just arrived this week and will have her first feed of it tonight. So far I've been giving her bits to try and she's found it palatable (which is unusual for her as it contains no molasses and she's a sugar addict, like me!).
The nutritionist at Pure Feed was really knowledgeable and states you need no additional balancers as it's a complete feed. Asked loads of questions and she was really good. Quick delivery too.
I'm really hoping it works for my mare as would be nice just to be able to use one bag of feed, two and a bit scoops twice a day (currently use three bags, 2 balancers, salt and oil).

Yes, pure feeds condition is the best! You could see the difference in only three days when I fed it to the poor doer TB at my yard. He's a huge boy and had dropped off loads of weight quite suddenly (apparently normal for him at this time of year). He is looking fabulous now. Really conditioned and shiny. Owner is really pleased as usually once he drops condition, he's a nightmare to get it back on. The rest of the horses her are good doers and look great just on the pure easy.
