when being ridden my mare seems to be doing this a lot, I changed her bridle to a bitless one (nurtural) as I thought she may have a prob with her teeth (dentist cant come till after the 5ht october :$) but she is still jaw crossing in the bitless so im wondering whether or not to try a grackle and see if she settles more in this? Any advice gratefully recieved.

Personally id wait until the dentist has been. When was the last time the teeth were checked?

If you go ahead and put her in a grakle and she's in pain it could make the situation worse. If dentist say's the teeth are good then yes i would try the grakle and go from there.

Good luck.

I'd definitely get teeth checked and go from there, and then work out why she is crossing her jaw.

Either a High ring Grakle/ correctly fitted drop/Flash might help or something like a combination or a kineton noseband. May be a case of trial and error, trying different bits and nosebands.

Wait until the EDT comes and in the meantime make sure she is comfortable by not using a grackle and make sure the noseband is nice and loose, then when you can be sure the teeth arent an issue then continue with trying a grackle etc

good luck
