horse crossings

we hacked out tonight on new route and came across what we believe to be a horse crossing on a bridleway over a dyke.wooden bridge ,much wider than normal and with high barrier.i was a bit tentative about safety and security but horse tootled over happily.never seen one before.does anyone else have them

We have one by us, its like a pedestrian crossing, goes over a main road, you press the button and instead of a green man a green horse comes up on lights when it is safe to cross.
