I have just had a horrendous experience with a well known yard up the north of Scotland. I sent my horse there to be sold as I thought they were reputable and would match him to a good competiton home. Plus a sick mother at home meant I didn;t have the time or emotional energy. I have just got him back, under weight, no muscle at all, thrush in all feet and hooves that look like they haven't been touched the whole time he was there ( 10 weeks). Although they did charge me for several farriers visits. Plus they have pinched my rugs and expensive bridle. No doubt he will bounce back and i have learnt a big lesson. I would hate this to happen to anyone else, so please be careful and don't be trusting. It is sad that people will rip you off and steal and even be cruel to an animal, but there you have it. Like I say, there is nothing I can do now, and at least my horse is back safe and sound ( I will never ever try and sell him again). The whole experience has been horrible mainly because I have seen a greedy, nasty, money pinching side of human nature
