Horse death in Sussex

It is terribly sad - those poor people and poor poor horse - there really are some very sick people out there. it is very close for comfort to me - have friends that have horses in the adjoining field - very frightening time for them xx

Have been doing a little research as I too keep my beast too close to where this happened for comfort...

- If anyone sees any abnormalities in the area - stones in triangle esque shapes/ fence posts pushed together to form a triangle or just anything out of the ordinary - please report it to the police who are dealing with this disgusting crime. Being vigilant and aware may cause a ripple effect and jog someones memory somewhere - we can but hope!!

- All owners should also be aware that there are 8 pagan holidays (and before I upset the Pagan's out there) I always thought that Pagans weren't viscous animal atackers and more like tree huggers, but these things seem to always correspond with the 8 Pagan holidays and this attack corresponded with it... Some wacko thinks they have actual magical powers and therefore they do things like this.. not a normal pagan then surely.. i'm not sure.. but i dont think it is.

- Closest sunday to the Pagan holiday with a full moon is a high risk time for attacks like this...we cant sleep in our horses fields every night, we can't teach them to attack intruders - but we can but try to be aware and reduce the risks...

Good luck to all of you- and to the poor owner out there - words can't express my sympathy for you - god bless...

It does make me wonder if it has some connection to the mane plaitings that happened. My horse was plaited three times, all being on large pagan festivals. With further research, I realised it was possibly something called 'knot magic', which is often used by white witches and pagans. She was never harmed or stressed and I am 90% sure it was a practicing pagan or white witch of some kind. The only odd thing is that pagans feel they have a strong connection with horses so would not want to harm them... I don't think the attacks would be by any self respecting pagan, more someone that has read some books and thinks they are honouring some 'higher power'.
All I can hope is that they catch who is to blame.

RIP Rascal, so sorry you had such an awful end. How upsetting for the owners. Beyond belief why anyone would be so cruel.

sickos!! How cruel!!

I do hope the person/s who did this have children and they suffer the same treatment as Rascal did. then they would know how it felt. Evil people
