Horse Dentist in West Sussex

Steve Neighbour without a doubt, I've used him since I was 14 ...I'm 29 plus vat now! and he was not new to it then so massively experienced, does all sorts racing/polo eventers etc etc & genuinely cares. Very good, reasonable rates & uber professional highly recommended....and no he hasn't paid me!!I've just had a few bad exp since moved so he is much missed!
 
I use Phil Armitage, he's a superb horseman and can do the most quirky ones without sedation. Does an excellent job at a good rate too.
 
Another vote for Phil Armitage. Watching him do my OH's numpty KWPN with no sedation and the leadrope tucked into his belt was amazing!
 
I have had Simon Vieweg recently & trust him but I have heard not so good things since. I know there's a lot of bad mouthing in the horse world. Can anyone enlighten me about there experiences or knowledge of Simon (factual only not gossip please). Good bad what ever.

I agree, he has such a wonderful calm manner with horses! I was amazed how he did mine as the vet always had to sedate him, just to get the gag on.

Simon Carried out some remedial denistry for me . He explained in detail the problem, showed me ,explained what he intended to do, and carried out the work quietly and safely with my comlete fruitloop of an Irish draught. I would also add that I was pleasantly surprised at the bill,having seen the amount of work he had to put in.I would recommend him .I would also add that my horses teeth were regularly done by another of the names recommended above, and whilst there were no sharp edges, the underlying problem of a twisted jaw(molars down one side considerably longer than the other) and undershot mouth ,were never mentioned or attended to .Since Simon carried outh this work,I am finaly making come headway with my horses nose poking and tongue over the bit . There is a lot of reschooling to do ,but at least I know my horse is now comfortable .
 
I use Simon Vieweg for all mine, previously used his father Doug before he retired. Cannot fault him, especially with difficult horses that play up.
I once took on a horse that had been regularly seen by another dentist praised in this thread - it couldn't eat hay or chaff, quidded constantly and was a hat rack, the owner had been told it was old age catching up with him and believed it.
I got Simon out who spent an hour sorting out his appalling teeth, and within a couple of weeks the horse was almost back to normal weight because he could eat properly at last.
