horse doesnt stretch his back legs out? anyone else?

Has always been the case just wondered if anyone else had the same thing

My horse when picking his back legs in holds them in really tightly
Its a real effort to pull them out if that makes any sense
Hes not nasty or anything just holds them in

He has back and teeth everything done regularly etc

Mine is exactly the same, although he will now (after 5 years) relax his legs to have his feet picked out.

I often see horses coming out of their stables in the morning and having a good stretch (each hind leg) and mine has never done it.

He has had back problems in the past but is fine now - he just doesn't stretch out.

I guess its "one of those things"? I use to know one horse who would stretch out when you pulled her front legs out to prevent the girth from pinching. She would stretch (like a dog does, when they stick their bum in the air) and her girth area would almost touch the floor!!

mine doesn't like to stretch his hind legs out either.
