HORSE FATALITY - Barton/Newnham area, Cambridge

does anybody know of/the owner of a grey/white horse that has a rug on and lives in the Barton, Newnham area please?

A horse was hit and killed 30 mins ago on Cambridge road. The police do not know who owns it. It must have gotten loose. Please pass this around and hopefully we can find the owners. Very tragic Please contact Cambridgeshire Police.

are you sure it was this morning not last night? see kit279s post in competition riders?

It would be terribly sad to have happened twice in that area in 12 hours

Yeah thanks for that looks like it's the same sad news repeated twice - Sorry Kit, I did look to see if it was on already but not in other sections of H&H.

Hi, New on and H&H. What sad news but the owners spoke to the police last night.
One thing that was a concern was the inability to get the horse moved from the side of the road. Perhaps a good idea to check all insurance policies so the same problem does not occure again.

Doubt it would be from Haggis as I think the only greys are probably in ATM. Would also be pretty hard for them to escape.

Don't you believe it Molly - There were countless times that the deer would get out onto the M11 when they had deer there and horses have got out before too.

As I mentioned before Kit - so sorry it was your boy and lots of hugs to you xxxxx
