Horse Feed...

Hi I was wondering if anyone could give me some more information about the following horse feeds and your reviews on them.

Dengie - HI-FI molasses free
Dengie - Alfa Beet (unmolassed)
Dengie - Alfalfa pellets

I was thinking about putting them together as a feed...do you think this would work or does anyone have any low sugar horse diets that they would reccomend?

Also could you please comment on the individual feeds, your reviews, reccomendations etc.

Along with whether they would suit a horse in light - medium work?

i've only ever used the Hi - Fi

i'd never feed mine anything alfalfa based as even tho they might be mollases free... mine go mad off alfalfa based feeds.

Thanks for the reply, did you think the HI-FI molasses free was ok? Do you still use it?

A lot depends on what type of horse you have, how big it is, its workload, current condition etc. What are you feeding at the moment in terms of bucket feed and forage? What are you expecting from the bucket feed - to put weight on the horse, provide vit/mins, be a base for supplements/medication, just a token whilst other horses eat etc?
