I have had my mare on a calmer, decided to try another one she was on Nupafeed which was good but too expensive so put her on Relax me calmer it seems to have kicked in and her temperament is nice and chilled but she seems to have turned into a bit of a donkey and doesn't want to go foward and is rather lethargic has anybody experienced this sort of thing with calmers? She was fine with Nupafeed.

Shes not on a high dose 20mg a day?

If you ring the Relax Me people they will help you work out different dosages, they were very helpful to a friend who couldn't get it to work for her horse, I think they can alter the quantities of the different ingredients to suit your horse.

Used it last year when horse went a bit loopy in the winter - certainly took the edge off so he was rideable but didn't make him a donkey? Might be worth looking at some other calmers - I've heard good stuff about so kalm by equine america.
