Anybody know of a good way to advertise a horse for loan, it is a friends and she is struggling to find someone competant for it. He is an ISH 16 hh, 10 yrs old and has done one day events in the past, he loves jumping but can get very strong and hold his head up high on hacks etc when he wants to go.

The friend is going away to Uni in September and wants part share til then, then full loan, but she would never sell, SSM rode last year and she thinks he is a babe, BUT she is a good rider. So any ideas please as I am fed up of her moaning!!

Oh and she does not want a yard change - Lambley, Notts area.

Fraid so and is getting novice people applying, one the other day thought great just have to tweak reins and straight into contact, looked ok until she came to jumping him and he is steaming around the menage with head in the air.

Hmm, there seems to be a shortage of decent riders that want to loan/share in Notts! A friend is having the prob with her horses, she just wants someone to excercise them!! Will keep an ear out for you, what about Brackenhurst, Barton etc? Decent equestrian centres that may have experienced pupils that want a to go the net stage up towards ahving their own?

I do NOT recommend horsequest. Both horses I have put on there received no more than 2 phonecalls each.

Horsemart, i put my boy on there and had over 400 calls and emails! most of them wanted something he isnt but i got a few good replies and thats all i needed.

freeads.net website, thats how i found the horse i bought and the horse I went to help someone with, adtrader, local newspapers etc! and supermarkets believe it or not (we've all got to shop somewhere!), newsagents....

Thanks KatB
may have found the right person at Brackenhurst college - how clever of you to think of that - I only studdy there - doooh! and never thought of asking around or placing an advert. Think my brain is only half there...
so fingers crossed for a mummy no.2.
