Horse for sale. Friend viewing. Not sure if rear fetlocks look ok? Particularly the one with white sock.

I thought the fetlocks looked like they had dropped. But my glasses need new lens and I’ve watched it quite a few times so I wasn’t sure.

I think the white sock is a bit of a draw for the eye and makes things harder to judge. He just didn't look entirely comfortable. I am assuming he is young and green. He had a sweet way with him but I would want a bit more forward going/longer stride even if unbalanced. I'm no expert just had a lot of slightly lame horses over the years :)

Oh just seen the rest of the video - he is 10 so not young or green. The walking after the jumping looks worse than the warm up to me.

?. Thought he was about 5. He looks very week and green. Worth a punt if he’s inexpensive. But I’m not sure I would.

Anyone know what might have caused that fetlock issue?
In my late dressage horse's case, it was a knackered hind suspensory. I had him as an unbroken 3yo, he was started carefully, retired at 8 yo to be a pasture ornament, PTS at 10yo as the fetlock was dropping even further - scan showed a hole running along the entire length.

I'm not going to comment on whether the horse is lame or sound (it doesn't belong to the OP).
I probably wouldn't view it though.

I would completely agree with your reticence if the seller was a private individual.

With a dealer selling an unsound house I don't share your concern. I don't believe this horse is sound enough to pass an independent vet.
