My boy....15.2 ISH gets cast alot...He's in a 12 by 12 stable, straw bedding. I forked out £74 for anti cast strips last winter which seemed to be working, he has been living out this summer, which, of course sorts out the problem, but I brought him in last night because the others had, and, guess what, it happened again...He is able to right himself most of the time after a fashion, but I'm worried there is going to be the one time when he will get well and truely stuck.
My YO has rescued him a couple of times with lunge lines, but what if it happens at night when noone is around....??
I'm seriously thinking about him living out now, but I'm not very good at being tough...does anyone have any experience of this...or anyone know of horses of his type who live out all year round!!!
