Now I know a lot of people have been saying thier horses have gone a bit funny lately.
But just wanted to check it doesnt point to anything more serious.
All the horses are a bit hyper at the minute but I think its more because one of mine is egging them on.
Yesterday he was eyes on stalks, snorting and allround too much energy so I left him out last night with a heavyweight rug. He was galloping, climbing the other horse and generally a painybum.
I thought it was because he is only getting 6 hours turnout so that anight out would do him good, swapping turnout and stable hasnt bothered him before.
So this morning I go and hes the same but wont eat either, I think nice day he will be alright and I will bring them in tonight
But when I got there at 4pm his rug was 1/2 off, he was galloping around like a loon and still wont eat and constantly up at the stable door listening and the other horse in the paddock that lives out was whinnying.
Hes on Lucie bix, total eclipse, unmolassed beet and the odd carrot. could it be the lucerne? hes only been on it 3 weeks and at first it really calmed him.
Any ideas welcome as he seems really unsettled and unhappy at the minute.
I did give him a groom and he liked that and seemed to calm a little.
