A week after moving to a new yard my girl has managed to go through electric fencing, a freak accident when she slid. The vets came immediately and it seems that the injuries are superficial though stitching has been required.
She was injected with painkillers and antibiotics for the first two days but has had to have them in paste form today as she is just not interested in her feed. She is nibbling away at hay and haylage but just doesn't want to know whats in her feed bucket, we've tried mollases and polo mints.
I'm not sure if its because she's a bit depressed or the pain or a mixture of everything but wondered if any kind people had any suggestions, I'm going to get the vet to check her teeth tomorrow in the off chance that that could be the problem (teeth were last checked 6 months ago).
Any suggestions would be greatfully appreciated I hate seeing her soooo down.
