brought a sport horse about a month ago and ride him 4/5 times aweek.
the problem i have is that he seems to be trying to grabb the bit with his teath in walk. in trot and canter he drops his head really low and it feels like he overbends still chomping at the bit.
he currently is in a eggbutt snaffle, when i brought him he had a french link on his bridle but hadnt been ridden for 4 months.
what bit could i try in his mouth:confused:
he's had his teeth and other checks done 2 weeks ago
thanks in advance for any help:)

You could try a waterford. My does the same whilst jumping in a snaffle so have him in a waterford snaffle and problem solved, although what works for one horse won't for another and we did have lessons trying to solve the problem before changing his bit. Might be worth having a few lessons/schooling sessions working on it (sorry if you're already doing this!) before changing.

have you tried him in a french link? what made you try a normal eggbutt snaffle? You could try a bit with rollers to stop him grabbing hold of the bit.Do you use a noseband?
