Hi
Approx 3 weeks ago we moved my horse from a college where he is on loan to a livery yard for the easter holidays, we moved him on the thursday & he had colic on the saturday. He recovered well & was back to his usual self sunday. He spent his holiday happily muniching grass and having a well earned rest. Then today he went back to college, just as I got home had a phone call from college saying he had colic. So far he seems ok. He is used to travelling, so don't understand why it is happening. The only thing that was different was that he travelled backwards in a 3.5 tonne lorry & usually he travels forwards in a ifor williams trailer. It was approx 10 miles from livery yard to college.
How can i stop this from happening again in the future? he doesn't show any signs of being stressed whilst travelling.
Thanks
