I got mine made off a company who I found on eBay, it wasn't cheap but I love it as it is made from the tail hairs of my pony!

Shpangle Jewellery make gorgeous ones, I have 2 and am planning on getting another. Compared to other horse hair jewellery they're a good price too. I go on about them a lot on posts like this, i'm not connected to Shpangle but I really do love his work

I used horsehairs my bracelet is fab very happy with it. Got it in April never take it off and it is still looking like new. It wasn't cheap but there are lots of designs available. Your friend would be over the moon to get such a thoughtful gift I think! X

I am so glad I made one from my boys mane and tail hair while we were still together, (he left us after 33 years). So easy to make yourself

Not keen on the shpangle ones. Ive been wanting a bracelet for ages but not found one I like that much that I can afford.

There are a few jewellery kits out there with bits in so you can make your own but Ive not seen them with precious metals, Ive been practising more elaborate plaits though, work in progress
