Well - only delivered my mare on Friday, have seen 3 horses so far, first one was something wrong with him, 2nd one bucked me off (friday 13th!!) and 3rd one was lovely but too fine for me, also turned out to be known by someone on here!! Very grateful for info!!

I don't have a huge budget as I sold my mare to a family friend as I'd made the decision to buy something bigger. So....those of you who are any good at hunting.... I have £3000 - not a huge budget I know. I'm looking for something up to weight (I'm a chunky monkey by my own admission LOL), 16.2hh - max 17.1hh. Prefer something max 10 -11 yrs as want something for life. It would have to be a 100% in traffic as a friend will ride for me during the week. Gelding preferred but not totally against mares. I like to SJ, XC, Working Hunter and will aim to have a very occasional days hunting.......

I know it's quite a lot for my budget but I hope the right one is out there. I'm Lincs/Notts/Leics border (and have a miserable OH that doesn't want me to travel miles looking!!)

Any suggestions gratefully recieved.....!!!!

Slight issue with the seller - according to a lot of people on here!! I have highlighted which sellers to avoid on Horsemart through this forum! I did ring about him and he's sold..........before I was aware

I'd prefer to find something privately as most dealers come with a dreadful reputation!!

ooo aidybex..just to reitterate your thoughts...steer clear of that chestnut...unfortunately had dealings myself and been through sheer hell and back as a result

good luck hunting

Not really fair to say
as most dealers come with a dreadful reputation!!

If you go to a decent dealer with a good reputation (there are some!) then you at least know that they want to keep that reputation... and you have some come back if there is a problem
