So I’ve started that awful journey of trying to find another horse and am kicking myself that I didn’t do so earlier in the year as there’s so little available at the moment with the weather improving and memories of the awful winter fading away.

Everyone seems to be selling young horses (4/5) whereas I want an older, more established horse that I can put my husband on for the odd ride and that doesn’t need to be ridden every day. Any advice where I might look to find a gem like this. I’m on a few facebook pages already and have looked online but now considering a wanted ad. Although I’m never sure how well those work. Any ideas appreciated

You tell absolutely everyone you know what you are looking for. You mention it on your FB so only your connections know and you let every single trainer you have on your phone know. People then will start tagging you in stuff.

I have done wanted adverts but found them a waste of time. You can try wanted adverts on FB but it’s hard as you have to write your budget….
