Im looking for a horse, my budget is 2k max and I want an allrounder, 16-17hh, pref gelding but will look at a mare, must be good to shoe, box, clip & catch and good in traffic, on own and in company. I dont want a TB but would like an IDxTB.

Is this possible?

That's my sort of height/budget/type and I have seen a few online, although I'm yet to view (mostly because I probably shouldn't buy until next year!). I think there are plenty around for less than 2K, although it does depend on your expectations. Any particular reason you don't want a TB? I always had the same view until my last horse, who was not only a TB but an ex-racer. She was fantastic, they can be really good allrounders, or even "just" hacks. Just watch out for wear and tear.

It depends on what you are looking for. If you want an allrounder who is a saint as well then I would say no, not possible. I do think if you were prepared to consider vices then you perhaps may be able to find something. Also depends on your standard - if you don't mind the odd buck etc then this really expands your range. I went out to look for a 100% everything nice horse to do BSJA etc (at low level) and couldn't find for love nor money (budget £5K). Eventually ended up with a youngster who I had to get broken but who has ended up being all of the above. At least I could make sure everything was correct and he always was going on 18 temprement wise. I'd say keep a really open mind.
