I'm sorry but I have to have a moan and whinge.
Decided to buy new horse a few weeks ago, so have been trawling through all ads, here, Horsedeals, Horsesmart, Horsequest etc and come up with a handful that really seem to match up to what I'm looking for. The problem ??? Why can't I actually get to see any of them.
Horse 1, rang, sounded great, arranged to visit Saturday as they couldn't possibly fit anyone in before. Friday they ring to say he's been sold, (at least they rang).
Horse 2, rang, yes sounded just what I'm after, arranged a visit, today at 4pm as they are out competing today. They mentioned they had someone seeing him yesterday afternoon, so I said I would call back last night to check if they had bought him, and if still okay to go, as it would be a 140mile round trip for us, Good idea they said. So I rang, at that point it would be useful to all concerned if they bothered to answer !! Rang a further 2 times and left message with my home and mobile for them to get back to me. Have they bothered ? NO. Have we gone to see it anyway? NO.
Horse 3, Rang Friday after work to try and arrange weekend visit, no answer. Rang Saturday, no answer. Spoke to friend who works for them, they don't like to be bothered at weekends so don't answer phone from Friday to Monday !!! Do you really want to sell your horse !!??, maybe you should specify convenient times to ring in your ad.
The one horse that we did manage to go and see at the beginning of the week, spooked all the way round the school, and bolted off twice with the rider within the first 10mins, the owner did then mention it hadn't had any turnout in the past 2 months.
Sorry for the long old moan, but it's just proving harder than I thought.
