Just enquiring as to anyone who has more than 1 horse insured?

Do you pay for the same (full) cover for your 2nd/3rd/multiple horses or does anyone know of a company that will just insure the 2nd one for Vets fees?

I currently have one insured for £5000 vets fees with £100 excess and the other has £3500 vets fees cover with £500 excess. So their policies cost me £40 a month.

I've just phoned a couple of companies for quotes, even reducing my neds' value to virtually nothing and the cost with £5000 vets fee cover and £100 excess is still around £40 a month for the two.

Yonks ago I read an article about an insurance company who was offering to insure a customers 2nd horse, to cover just the vets fees for £40 a year. Does anyone know which company this was and whether they still offer it?
Thanks

I've got my 3 all on the same policy - they are all covered for the same - £5000 vet fees but for different values for LOU - pony is £250 as he's a vetran, SJ pony is for £5000 and cob is for £2000. That's with NFU and costs me £70 a month!

I'm with NFU and asked for a vet excess of £500, this reduces the premium an enormous amout but leaves me covered in the case of serious stuff and hospitalisation. I think if you didn't want to go to the full £500 they offer something in betwen, if you have 1 at £500 you may as well have both as it's sods law the one with highest excess wil need the treatment!
