Hi, Currently with NFU but my policy has gone up a lot on renewal. Need insurance for 1 horse with tack - had an insurance claim as had lameness issue last July which is all sorted now. Want vet fees again but know they won't pay out for previous injury but not sure how to swap to different insurer and need one that would pay out if need be, thanks.

The thing is, you will need to disclose all previous injuries etc, whether you claimed for them or not.

So new insurers may well place an exclusion anyway, so if you are happy with NFU stick with them. If you are looking to change companies anyway, then I highly recommend Amtrust.

You're right that nobody will cover for prev injury sadly. Could give Petplan a shot as I found them cheaper when my prev NFU policy skyrocketed but they seemed VERY fond of exclusions! Could also try SEIB or KBIS. Otherwise if you can afford to stick with NFU they're normally good at paying out
