my insurance is due for renewel on 4th may, i got my letter this week and it had gone up almost £10 and i have never claimed! i'm currently with the NFU.

who does every one else use, who would you recommend?

Hi, I use Petplan for both of mine and that reminds me that mine is due for renewal soon.

I think a few of the popular ones are: Petplan, KBIS, SEIB and there have been a few disgruntled regarding NFU as they appear to have put their renewals up whether you have claimed or not.

If your NFU premium only went up by £120 a year that's good, my renewal from NFU was double from £400 p/a to £800!!!

I have just renewed with KBIS as they seem to be a reasonable company to deal with. I think that NFU will loose alot of horse insurance customers this year!

I would highly recommend Scottish Equestrian Insurance. I've been with them for over 10 years now and the times that I've had to claim, they've been very helpful and have settled all of the claims in no more than 10 days!! My boy will be 20 in a couple of weeks and I'm still only paying about £25 a month, that includes vets, loss of use, death, tack and equipment etc plus cover for any damage he may cause and injury to anyone who was riding him!
