He seemed fine yesterday, as I'd lunged him for perhaps 10mins, no probs that I could see. Then brought him in and rode him today, didn't seem right. Didn't want to go forwards as usual, and just didn't seem himself, and was a little reluctant to work into the outside rein on the left rein. When I got off, another livery told me that he was nodding his head a bit in trot and seemed sore on his right foreleg, and it seemed worse on the right rein.. Nothing bad, not hopping, just.. sore? Didn't feel any heat or swelling, no digital pulse, no tenderness when being touched/prodded/poked.
Will trot him up tomorrow in front of YM, and give him several days off. Would you turn out as usual, or keep him in? Apparently he had a bit of a hooly on Sunday when turned out, so I thought that could be it, but he seemed fine yesterday
Maybe he did something else when out today? Anyway, if it's not better in a couple of days will be getting the vet out, see what they say and take it from there. Feel really rubbish
Any suggestions? We've only just moved yards on Saturday so it could just be he's a bit excited and pulled something in the field? Sorry, having a ramble! Will be getting the saddler out to have a check up, and if it comes to the vet will also ask about having him seen by the physio or something. Thanks for reading, have some pot noodle which I happen to have
Vibes would be appreciated, I know he's not hopping or anything but it's enough to be a bit of a worry, and I am a huge worrier! xx
