We have a sh*tland who has lami, yes now, in January!

He had it in the summer so he has been living in and being turned out in the school, so hasnt actually had any grass as such other than what grows around the school.

Anyway somehow he has managed to get lami again so he is back on box rest the poor guy is quite bad.
The thing is he can hardly see over the stable door, he loves likits but I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions about what we could give him to relieve his boredom.

He also has one of the treat balls which he loves.

I remember someone on here saying they made their horse kebabs out of vegetables, so would be interested in any suggestions like that.

Please bear in mind he is a pig, he ate a steak mince pie the other week that someone dropped on the floor, gone in 2 bites LOL, so he needs things that wil last him.

Ive got a horse football for him, he is going to be in a while now , Im amazed he is still so well behaved considering how bored he must be.

Thanks in advance!

He sounds very like our little welshie who had Lami brought on in winter by Cushings until our new vet eventually realised that was what was causing it & put him on Pergolide.

Anything round, threaded on a string & that can't touch a wall should keep him entertained!

ha ha yeah learned that about the Likit, when we hung it at the side of his stable he ate the whole thing in one night!

when we put it in the middle of the stable he kept having strops at it!

ha ha! I nearly broke my neck on a stray swede the other week! and have nearly broken toes standing on 'removed' block licks that my mare decided would look better on the floor than in thier holder!
