I'd like to update everyone who commented on H&H when Cindy was killed.
I couldn't say too much at the time, but she WAS deliberately killed by a taxi driver who had a personal grievance with the rider. The driver thought Cindy belonged to the person who was riding her.
She was only being moved from one field to another via the road - another hundred yards and she would have been safely in the farmyard.

Her murderer,as I refer to him because he was, appeared in the magistrates court yesterday, 1st Sept. and pleaded guilty to dangerous driving - well, he couldn't do much else, there were witnesses who gave statements to the police.

He will appear at crown court for sentencing on 30th Sept. But I still feel let down. He will be punished for dangerous driving, but no mention was made of Cindy.
I want EVERYONE to know that he deliberately killed an animal to satisfy his own temper. I could go into more detail, but it's long and drawn out and probably would not be allowed online.
Anyway, thankyou to everyone who shared their anger with me.

I can't say I know how you feel as I don't have a clue...

However, once he is sentenced his name will be available via the media, so make sure you link it to here so EVERYONE knows who he is.

Cindy was killed by the result of a nutjob. Oneday, he will get his just desserts, whether it be in this life, or the next.

~MASSIVE HUGS~

I remember your posting this just after it happened, I was shocked and horrified then and still am.

I agree with DS, once this piece of **** is sentenced, please put the link on here so we all know who the scumbag is.

I cannot even begin to know how you are feeling, I can only imagine the unimaginable.

xx

Let's hope the scumbag serves some time. They don't like people who deliberately hurt animals or children in prison. With any luck some proper justice will be served!

Which local authority licenses this driver? I'm sure if people were to write to the licensing authority responsible with their concerns over the fitness and reasonableness of a taxi driver to be granted a license, they would give public opinion some credence in deciding whether or not a driver were to have to their license renewed.

A review of their license to operate a taxi will automatically be triggered at the next Licensing Committee/Board by a court case. Often, in such matters, hearings are organised where involved parties may give evidence.

Don't worry, we informed the hackney cab licensing people immediatly ........ of course, this IS Bridgwater we're talking about and everything important seems to be done at snails pace.
The Bridgwater Mercury will be getting (another) rocketing from me as well. When it happened they reported that the police were not pressing charges: they'd better get it right this time. I shall be making sure a reporter gets all the facts right

He should lose his cab license at the least, I would suggest he lost his driving license full stop.

Taking the death of the horse out of the equation - he took deliberate action to harm and it is only by luck that he did not kill someone.

How can someone with the ability to take this line of reasoned thought, and then act upon it, be fit to drive other people for a living.

Sadly I can't see him getting a custodial sentence, especially when those guilty of death by dangerous driving often walk free. :(

A horrific experience for all involved. Thinking of you all.

So if he has been charged for dangerous driving who is he then? Has his name been published in a local paper? You can link to that on here if he has been charged for dangerous driving etc & its in the public domain already?

what an utter kn*bber  :(

So sorry for your loss, don't worry he will, at some point get his just desserts, hopefully when he least expects them. And of course post his name on here when you can, put it in the thread title and we'll see if we can get it in H&H as one of the top posts :)

I too remember the post on here at the time, I think everyone was apalled to think that someone would do that deliberately. It must be a real kick in the teeth to you that Cindy wasn't even mentioned in the proceedings. Damned shame! xx

I hope he gets what he deserves, although to be honest I wouldnt hold my breath! I will never understand how the driver involved in my accident isnt doing time, but thats the judicial system for you! Good luck!
