Due to having my 8yr old riding horse PTS last week, due to degenerative sight, I am seeking a horse/large pony to loan for the next 6 to 12 months (approximately).

I have my 2 yr old WB to lightly back next summer, so am looking for a riding horse to keep me in shape until then.

I've an excellent farrier and yard facilities, with safe year-round turnout and roomy loosebox with rubber mats and a thick bed on top. I feed excellent hay/haylage and quality feeds, so can guarantee any horse will winter well. Must be sound, sane and able to carry 11.5 stone.

I'm in East Devon, if anyone knows of anyone with a horse or pony that might fit the bill. All the loans I'm finding advertised online seem to be long term or WVTB

Spyda, tbh I'm not sure if you're 'advertising' or not so you might want to edit your post a bit to make sure but just to ad a cheery thought: at the size you're looking you could well find a teenager's pony/horse to loan once they know what they'll be doing next year after A-level results etc come out. Those are more likely to be short-term until they come home from college/travelling/etc.

I think she should be allowed to ask people to keep an eye out considering she lost her horse last week....i dont think anyone would mind.

Will keep an ear out for you spyda.....where are you exactly? sounds quite close to me.

Thank you. Yes, sorry. I supposed it could be construed as advertising. Sort of. But I know there are so many horsey people here, someone may hear of a horse or pony coming available. I'm unfortuate in that I'm fairly new to my area, so don't have the horsey contacts anymore, and word of mouth really helps I think.

I'm in Musbury, near Axminster/Seaton/Honiton/Lyme Regis, but have horse transport.
