I may be looking to purchase a small non-HGV lorry (2 horse, basic living) Where is the best place to look for one? Has anyone ever bought of E-bay and if so, what was it like?

I bought my 7.5 tonne truck through eBay. She's ancient, she looks awful, she came with a year's test and tax and she's been very reliable.
You absolutely MUST view before you bid though. Make certain that you've had all your doubts and questions answered and take someone who knows about trucks with you to view, make certain also that you satisfy yourself that the floor is safe, the MOT test does not cover that.

I bought mine privately and looked everywhere - horsemart, horsedeals Horse and HOund. Bought the 2nd one I looked at from horsemart and it is great. Not very pretty but a work horse that does a good job!

My family deals abit in buying and selling horseboxes aswell as repairs and servicing and i would recomend horsemart is one of best places to look - please ensure you get a mechanic to look over the lorry before you comit to buying or it maybe costly for you - we have had quite afew come in that people have paid over the odds for as it looked nice on the outside but mechanically it was horrendous.

Bought mine off ebay and i got a bargain, its beautifull and easily worth 3 times what i paid for it. It didnt have a picture on the listing so we went and saw it, loved it, won the bidding on it at £50 over the reserve price!
