Hacked boy out today and he felt great, we mainly just walked and was no signs of lameness. However about 4-5 times his front left leg kept sort of buckling. He righted himself almost immediately but was still unnerving.
Checked him over when got back and cant find anything. Is due to be shod in 2 weeks but feet dont look long. He is shod with eggbars in front on vets advice and farrier rolls his toes to reduce breakover.
Has had hocks and left fore medicated again about 5 weeks ago and he only hacks now. Has stumbled once before with me but was months ago and on uneven ground.
Could it be that he was just being lazy or could it be his arthritis causing it? He wears knee boots for precaution on the roads but if he carries on like this then will have to be retired to the field as dont want to risk him going down on the road
Being seen by physio in a few days and due to see vet in next couple of week so can get him fully checked however am worried it is something serious x
