Horse lost on firing range

I read in H&H from 9th Sept that one of the top 5 topics on the forum this week were 'Horse lost on firing range found'. Does anyone know whether this is true? I followed the story on the forum at the time and have thought a lot about that horse. I would love to know that he has been found.

Tell it like it is! No, joking apart, I was really upset to read this in the news as I believed thermal imaging cameras had been used to try to locate him. Then, I read they hadn't... Poor lad.

I think from what I've read that the MOD/powers in charge were not overly helpful (but in their defence-no pun intended- it is a live firing range) and by the time they did agree to a thermal imaging camera being used the horse was probably already dead.

There are several threads on the forum about it-I think the latest is that the owners are talking of sueing the MOD for the loss of the horse as he was a valuable racehorse, called Zimbabwe?
