Strange behaviour from my horse tonight - I popped him in the shelter to feed the two horses seperately.

While waiting to go back out in the space of a couple of minutes he had got right down twice and went to go down a third time but something distracted him. Both times staying down for a few seconds and getting straight back up again. He didn't appear distressed or in pain as far as I could tell.

He doesn't normally lie down or roll very much - any thoughts?

i would pop down later to check, could be subtle signs of colic, just abit uncomfortable in his tummy. do you know if hes pooing ok.

Definitely a worrying sign. My old boy did this many years ago and went on to be extremely ill for over a week. He also did this a few years back when he had minor colic. Still with us though.

Just an update - Dibbs walking around and seems fine, belly sounds normal. I've put him in the shelter and going back in a couple of hours to monitor poos. Fingers crossed he's OK.

Thanks all.
