Is anyone else finding the market atm insanely challenging?
I've been looking around intensively for around a while, and I've only managed to find 2 viewings. The first the dealer refused to let me have the vet I wished perform the vetting, and the second viewing, the horse failed the vetting at no fault of the owner at all- absolutely gutting.
I'm really struggling to find viewings at the very least, searching facebook, horsequest, horsemart etc.
Very very disheartening :(

What are you looking for and in what location?
decent horses are still selling very well at the moment
Looking for a 16hh+ allrounder sports horse to eventually affiliate so around 7-12, leaving me time to work on and put my own stamp on- defo don't want a push button! I'm in Essex but can travel up to 2hrs if needed.

Try Stalino horses on Facebook she often has some nice horses and she is a decent dealer they are in Hertfordshire.

I might know of someone else who may have a few horses they are based at strangeways just messaged my friend there to see so will let you know.

Thinking outside the box for a moment.
Jack-Thomas Watson in Belsay would have more than one for you to try. 3 or 4 probably, they don't all appear on his FB.
No personal connection but he's as honest as the day's long and specialises in what you are looking for. If it was me I'd take a run up the M1 & book a B&B rather than taking a lot of separate short (disappointing) trips to see single horses.
(He's not cheap but broken, unsuitable horses are the dearest there are.)

If you were travelling to belsay I’d give James Jopling at Stamfordham a call to see what he has in. I’ve bought a lovely baby from him but he brings lovely horses over from Ireland at various ages and I know someone who used to work with him who said he s very kind and understanding when training.

Don’t know how much time you have but maybe worth a couple of nights in Ireland and going to some nice yards there (ardeo etc) as probably better than doing more shorter but perhaps unsuccessful trips? I’m sure in one-two days there of viewings will get you exactly what you want. Just plan dates before hand etc

Have you looked at MPF horse talent on Facebook.
This one is up North too but you could visit a few yards over a weekend maybe.

Not sure if Salisbury is too far away but have you tried Larkrise Farm? They are on Facebook. They have a couple of sports horse types at the moment.

He is always highly recommended, we'd go but its a round trip of about 10 hours depending which day/time you go.

Might be too far but Rowton Stables in Shropshire have a 7yrs gelding which may suit you. It's on their FB page. Good reputation.
