there's no pic, try uploading to photobucket and linking off there, that always works. Does he know his name? If he does, you might be better keeping it, or picking something that sounds like it, so as not to confuse him!

Mine is called Goose (stable name) but I kept it (thinking of Top Gun). Seems to really suit him though as this is a small pony in a big horses body!

Aww hes lovely - I always this "Sam" when I see greys - only because I used to have a grey called Sam so Im kinda biased.

However looking at him Bobby comes to mind too :)

Oscar or Rambo, I think they suit Connemaras so much :D Mine is called Chalky, but he was 12 so way too old to change it :p

Also there is an amazing Connemara in my PC called Oscar, he is 14.2hh and jumps like 3ft6, so it might bring you good luck ;)

I'd keep Rocky for his pet name & use Arctic Monkey as his competion name, I'm a music fan so I like musical names & think Arctic Monkey is a great name for a grey.

I had a grey connemara who was called Hissing Sid (Sid for short) when I got him but I hated it so changed it to Sam. The show name I chose for him was Kelabu, which is the Malay name for grey - could be shortened to Boo!

Blesk (it's the Czech word for lightening). You can be almost 100% sure that they'll be no other Blesks in your area or even in the UK.

I was always told that changing the horse's name was bad luck. I don't really believe in that stuff, but still I didn't change my old connemaras name even though it was very ugly (Rubric).
I kinda like Rocky.
I know a connie called Finn, I think that's a nice name.

How about a subtle change to something like Rocco, or I quite like Daiquirie. I think he'd suit a more sophisticated name than Rocky, he's got an air about him, he looks quite posh, makes me think of a very well brought up young gentleman.

He's lovely!

What's his breeding? Looks very similar to my Connie a few years ago.

I'm rubbish at thinking of names - do you know where in Ireland he was from? For my Irish boy I picked a place name near where he was bred.

joseph or joey, i just think it suits him

yeh i like joey too :D r u sure thats the same horse ? he seems to be big for 14.2 and if he was 4 he would be way more thinner(not bones but u know wat i meaan) he seems to look like 10 or 9? as he is really filled out and if he was 4 his back would be much deeper?
