Horse not loosing summer coat

Morning all , my tb is not loosing his winter coat , my other two are , worried re cushins as older horse aswell , anybody's else not loosing there's x

It's a bit early yet! Some of ours have, some haven't at all and are hanging on for dear life. Give it until April before you worry... Some horses seem to shed winter coat almost explosively... Like a big fur bomb overnight.

None of mine are shedding. One did start but has now stopped! I think they don't know where they are with the weather we have been having cold one week mild the next. Live out 24/7 one aged 3, one 5 and one 19 in no fill turn out rugs all winter.

Good God mine didnt shed til june last year, crazy weather!

Don't panic yet- its still freezing out. My tb hasn't shed a single hair, he was clipped mid Feb and the difference between two coats is still very obvious. Can't see him giving up any hair until it warms up.

some of ours are losing their coats very slowly, some havent even started.
I think the rubbish summer last year and wet winter has played havoc with their coats.
Interestingly ours started losing when we had snow on the ground, I think the lighter nights as a result started them off.

My three miniatures are all loosing their coats but neither my Welsh D or Welsh X TB have dropped a hair yet.

My tb is losing his winter coat at a rate of knots- i could have stuffed a mattress with what came off him last night. I keep pointing out to him that it's still freezing and can he please stop?! He is a very hairy bear though.

I noticed a few stray hairs yesterday, but apart from that, nothing yet!
