In which we solemnly vow to work on the 12 steps as listed below.

1. We admitted we were powerless over our addiction and that our horses had become unmanageable.

2. Came to believe that a trainer greater than ourselves could restore our horses to sanity.

3. Made a decision to turn a great deal of money over to our trainer.

4. Made a searching and fearless inventory of all our assets to pay our trainer.

5. Admitted to our spouses the exact amount of money we were spending on our horses.

6. Were entirely ready to have our spouses disown us.

7. Humbly asked them to leave us the checkbook.

8. Made a list of all persons we could borrow money from and became willing to ask them to float us a loan.

9. Made a conscious effort not to purchase additional tack whenever possible except when absolutely necessary for the fulfillment of our riding needs.

10. Continued to take inventory periodically in order to assess whether or not we could now justify buying that new dressage saddle.

11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our relationship with others in order to get better deals on their used tack items.

12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to others so that they might take pity on us and fund that new arena we’ve been hoping to put up.
