Advice on horse worming can be conflicting and confusing to the horse owner, who may be presented with different information from veterinarians, yard managers and retail outlets. Research in the UK has found that horse worms are developing resistance to the active ingredients in chemical wormers, which could be alarming to the horse owner. Much of this information, including the environmental risks of using wormers, is largely unavailable outside of academia. If you would like to give your views on these aspects of horse worming and aid undergraduate research into the environmental impacts of horse wormers at the University of Hertfordshire, please click on the following link and complete the survey.

Done!

Also did not know about Equest Pramox 3 day and disposal, so I might not use it again in the future. I would be happy to dispose of wormers in a more environmentally friendly way, but would not want to pay extra for it (does that make me a hypocrite? I separate all my rubbish, but my local authority often dumps it all together again!)
