Hi - After four months of searching we found a horse we liked last Sat, tried really hard not to get too excited until she had been vetted - Vet came out yesterday and she passed with flying colours. So to all you folks who have advised and listened to me whingeing - thankyou, and to all you who are still looking - don't give up.

Vendor suggested we keep her at her yard for two weeks so my daughter can have supervised lessons, if she really doesn't get on then we can pull out (minus deposit and livery charges). TBH I cant think that she will be any worse than our TBx mare when we first bought her!

She is a 5 yo very dark bay TB, failed racer with Shergar and Shirley Heights in her lineage. She has had classical dressage training for a year so lovely flat work. No proper jumping yet. Good to hack alone and in company, well mannered and boxes well. Has a scar on her nearside hock and some white hairs consistent with an over tight compression bandage and a small splint on near fore cannon, vet said both of no significance. Vet commented on good feet, good well muscled back, lovely temperament for age and type and a reasonable price!!!!

Will get some piccies up as soon as she is home for your comments. I am so happy I might just explode - that would cause a bit of a stir in the office!

Woo Hoo, Exciting! Look forward to seeing your piccies

Alibabe - She mostly deals with Spanish Horses - gorgeous but scary prices, you could add an extra zero on to what we paid. She does occasionaly have cheaper models, I think she has a young anglo arab that is coming back into work after being broken turned away at a similar price to ours, however I think it already has a prospective purchaser. If he is not snapped up I will let you know.
