Horse passes due to broken heart

How sad. My friends horse seemed to give up after his companion of many years died. He was calling for her for weeks and just seem to give up and pined away.

I believe horses can be very loyal to their owners and other horses and have much love to give us if only we can tune into them. Sadly I have never really had this kind of relationship with my present horse, but I was lucky enough to with a previous one.
 
Such a sad story... at least they are together now in a place with no suffering or hurt. Can gallop across open fields together as a pair. Thoughts to family... not just loosing daughter but horse too :-(
