Horse passport-help me!

Okay so i have had my horse for a good while now, i really need to change the ownership on her passport.
Her passport is Irish cob society ltd and they have a downloadable form on the website.
However the website isn't exactly up to date and I've tried emailing, calling but no answer.
I don't want to send my passport to Ireland ( im in Scotland) when i don't even know if anything will happen to it if you get me?
