What is the new rule for 1st October 2020 re passports. I have an Irish Sport Horse who has an Irish Passport. He is microchipped but obviously not on a UK data base. Do I have to do anything before 1st October ?

If he is on an Irish passport then you will need to get it over stamped by a UK passport agency, for example sport horse Britain etc. Should cost about £20. In reality how many are going to check it I don't know.

Sent my passport off to the British Equestrian Federation and got it back within a week. Printed the form off from their website. All very easy.

The 1st October deadline does not include overstamping of foreign passports.

Horses are meant to have been over stamped within 30d of import or it’s an offence? So no reason not to really, apart from cost.
