Horse portraits - any recommendations?

I am looking into getting my bf a portrait of his horse for his birthday, has anyone had one done before and can recommend someone or even better if you could show me the drawings

Hi - i can recommend 2. Jane Wallington - JanesAnimalandFantasyArt on FB. She done this portrait for me before xmas of my guys. Will put the pics she used to draw from too so you can see likeness.

And also Pilar Larcade - i commissioned her to do a portrait for someone on another forum and at the same time asked if she'd do one of my dogs. Will put both on for you.

I may be completely wrong on this but think Pilar may be a member on here?Seen one of her pics on a signature and country of Argentina but it may be co-incidence!

Pilar (PapaFrita) did a beautiful portrait of my friends 2 horses which I gave as a gift - my friend was thrilled with them and she really had captured the likeness and spirit of each horse. The portrait was a very reasonable price too

OP this might be useful to look at as some of the pros on this forum have put pics on this thread so useful for comparing and seeing whose style you like although I suspect it might depend a bit on budget too!

Papa Frita (Pilar Larcade) on here. Her work is AMAZING. She has just completed a painting in acrylic of my dog who recently died. I am in complete awe of her work. She had to put up with me who wanted everything just perfect and she was a complete professional and a delight to communicate with. I really cannot say how utterly thrilled I am and I am sure I will cry when I open it when it arrives hopefully this week! You can find Pilar on FB. If you go to the photo section on HHO there is another artist who's name I've rudely forgotten I just know she's Mildred on here but she is also on FB and her work is beautiful.
