Horse Portraits

I was inspired by a post on the PG about horse portraits and would like to look into it a bit more to see if it a viable option for a friend's 18th birthday present.

I am thinking of a head shot of her horse (don't know if prices vary depending on the ammount of horse drawn) and to fit into an A4 size frame.

How much would something like this cost me and how long would I need to give for it to be drawn (her birthday is late March)
