Horse Portraiture

I usually shoot eventing at the big events but my partners friend at the stables asked if i would take some shots of her horse not sure of the best angles so i thought i would ask you for help because i think a lot of owners would like a nice print of thier horse on the wall

They're all beautiful, but I think my favourites are the second because pony is so strokeable in it and the 4th because the background really makes a lovely contrast to the grey of the pony and it makes for a very striking image

If I was the owner I would like the first one its the best angle out of the headshots

2nd or 4th,

2nd because you can clearly see markings and the horses eye is looking at you

4th because of the contrast between pony and backdrop, and the pony looks very natural, often a desirable style

I would have asked for the rug to come of Gary, a lovely horse but hidden under it, I like 1 and 5 though. Have you posted any on Pix? But difficult from my point of view obviously as I'm looking at it from TOG and owner.

I like 5 the best, if you zoomed into the head at this angle it should make a really nice portrait.
