I bet the first one is a bit 'well used' and the second well it is a bit big for lead rein and I hope it finds a nice home. I hate to see old horses for sale you never know what is going to happen to them.

I would have said the first one had a lot of miles on the clock and maybe bad conformation.
I went to view a 'bombproof' cob the other day with no schooling or muscle just learnt to jump, but wasn't very good, hadn't been in consistant work and the owner wanted £3,300 for it!!! and the thing took off with me shaking its head around and coughing.

I hate seeing old horses for sale as well and when I got Mcfly from Leominster last year there was a 24 year old gelding listed in the sales. Thank goodness it didn't turn up.
fckn imbeciles !

Id like to ring up and ask how a Trakehner can be an ex point to pointer?

Funnily enough I absolutely swear that I saw two Trakehner looking nags at Hackwood Park Pt to Pt. No way were they TB's they were very trakehner...

I know what you mean. Always feel a bit sorry for them. After all they have prob done a few kids a really good service over the years and deserve to be better looked after. Im sure at that age I would rather loan it out to a nice family if its still full of running (we have a pony thats in its 30s here and still goes hunting) and then have it back for retirement. If retirement isnt an option (we are not all able to keep them as lawnmowers) then surely being PTS is a kinder option in the long run than being passed from piller to post?

Wonder if the Trekhaner really only did some of the Hunting team p2p and not REAL p2p? Like others say I think its been 'well used'.

Prices are a bit mad. Not sure where ppl get them from sometimes.
