horse prices!!!!

Being a student I have almost 4 months of summer holiday to look forward too

So I've been looking around for a little "project" to bring on over the summer... Hence the rant over prices!
Horses are advertised on well know websites as "slightly unsound, naps when ridden, perfect NH project etc" and people are asking from £2500 to 4500!

Who pays this sort of money?? Do people have more money than sense?

not saying they are all silly prices and of course breeding etc counts towards the price.... But there's a lot going for an awful lot of money for which you could get a "normal horse" so who buys the "problems horses" at these prices?
 
Ah, but one person's "problem" is another person's "talented". A lot of talented horses are very difficult to ride but, in the right hands, are very useful. I know of a Corrada youngster who is so sharp he is scary (to ride, he's fine to handle) but has immense scope. Apparently Corrada took a long time to back and was very difficult, to the point that they never thought they'd be able to ride her, and just look at what she achieved.
