Hi all....I am wondering if anyone has any thoughts or recommendations on the following....my horse has issues with being left alone by other horses, and I really want to try and help him so am looking for thoughts and opinions on the subject.

He is absolutely fine to hack out alone and can be alone travelling etc but if he comes into contact with another horse and then that horse disappears he becomes distraught! For example, if we are out hacking alone, everything is fine but if we see another horse out and the horse goes in a different direction, he will have a melt down! The same happened Friday evening on the beach, rode there alone, rode on the beach alone fine, bumped into a group of horses who then left the beach and he became distraught. If we go to a competition alone he is fine, he will call on the way home, that is manageable but if we go with someone and they go off to do a class and he is left alone on the lorry, he will have a meltdown! But to re-iterate, he will hack out and go anywhere happily alone, it is when he sees another horse we then have issues.

Is there such a thing as a horse psychologist? Has anyone else experienced this and has any tips? He looks after me so well I want to do the same for him and help him, it is really distressing to see him get so upset and somebody commented that it's like he is having a panic attack and it is!!

Please can anyone help?

Many thanks in advance
