Hello! I was wondering if anyone has tried this Horse Quencher feed that you add to your horse's water? http://www.horsequencher.co.uk

It looks interesting and I thought I might try it out in this hot weather, just wondered if anyone had any experience of it, or could recommend anything else to coax horses to drink?

Thank you!

i brought some of these a while back and just chucked them in the lorry thinking they may be worth having if it was a hot day and something wouldnt drink.

forgot they were there until we went away overnight a couple of weeks ago and i was getting worried that horse hadnt drunk in nearly 24 hours (first overnight of the year so a bit unsettled i think). remembered i had these so chucked one in a bucket of water and straight away horse drunk half a bucket !!

will always keep a stash in the lorry now for emergencies, they make the water go browny and with the bits floating in them i didnt think horse would touch it but i was amazed !!!

definately worth a try - mine had the 'butterscotch' one !

Have tried them in the past but now just put a small amount of mix in a bucket and add water does the job just as well and is cheaper too. I also know what is in the feed and can add electrolytes were necessary.

Wow - that's me sold! Going to order a starter pack and see what the ponies think of it! Thanks guys :)

I used it alot as 2 of mine do not like the water at my yard, they loved it. However, it was costing me a fortune so tried adding some fast fibre to a bucket of water. Works great and costs alot less too.

I used it this weekend at a very hot dressage comp. My mare loves it! she is a greedy guts and loves all the little bits of oats in it! its great to get them a good drink after sweating a lot.
I wouldn't let her have a whole bucket at once though, about a third at a time.

You can put squash in water, mine likes apple :)
